The Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies is hosting a webinar featuring case studies from Hong Kong SAR (China), Seoul (Republic of Korea) and Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala, India) highlighting lessons about coordinating public-private health and social care for the urban elderly in differing demographical and structural contexts in Asia.

This webinar will explore governance, workforce and innovations that enhance accessibility and affordability for continuity of care for older persons.

OVERVIEW

As populations across Asia continue to age, ensuring continuity of care for older persons has become a growing priority. The integration of services is critical to improving accessibility, affordability and overall well-being for older persons—yet countries face distinct challenges in achieving this.

APO's webinar brings together some of the region's top researchers to present three case studies from Hong Kong SAR (China), Seoul (Republic of Korea) and Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala, India) based on APO’s latest study on ageing and integrated care.

Through an in-depth discussion, the session will explore how governments, private providers and civil society actors collaborate to bridge gaps between health and social services, ensuring a person-centred approach to ageing.

The discussion will highlight lessons learned from each context and offer actionable insights for policymakers, researchers and development partners across the region.
